Bikes: Trek Mtn Bike

Didn't notice this thread before.

Please tell us your age.

55

1. What type of bikes do 50+ folks ride?

Trek FX 7.1 hybrid. That's all but thinking about getting a mountain bike.

2. Do you take any special supplements/vitamins/minerals as you have grown older?

Multivitamin, glucosamine. Not sure the glucosamine helps but it don't hurt either.

3. How much do you feel you have "slowed down" if any?

Not as much free time so not as many miles. Main problem is due to back problems. When that flairs (flares?) up I slow down a lot.

4. How long have you been biking? New, around a while, biked all your life?

Rode around Phoenix a lot as a kid. Later the bicycle just made more sense to me than a car until I moved out of my parents house. Even then I commuted by bicycle more than by car. I reserved the car for the 'heavy' lifting or longer distances.

5. What type of biking do you do? Long rides, touring, short rec rides.

Commuting to work mostly 10 mi round trip. Some rides on weekends. Usually 20 mi or less.

6. How often do you bike? Your approximate annual mileage?

Commuting alone should be around 2500 mi. Maybe another 300-400 mi on weekends.
