Regardless, the 2nd digit is likely a 3, The metal headbadge was dropped 1985 (in the USA) and top mount shifters had also passed out of fashion by then. It's almost certainly a 1983 model but there's an outside possibility of it being a 1984. This appears to be the equivalent of the 1983 LeMans 12 that was offered in the USA, which was an upper entry level model. The LeMans 12 used Tange #5 for the main tubes and hi-tensile steel for the forks and stays. I can't quite make out your decal to determinne if it's a full #5 set or not.

This is what I was expecting. Let the buyer beware in the USA I guess. Where the paint is coming off the forks it appears to have a polished chrome underneath. I'll post the details for the frame when I get home.
