Nancy, in addition to an eloquent call for action, your video is a tribute to the most basic of treasures, a simple, everyday life that showed promise and value. Callous disregard for ANYONE by one person changed the lives of SO MANY....

May the Father grant you peace, and comfort you and your family.

I agree with you on this point in particular: we need more presence on the roads! In addition, we as a society DESPERATELY need to promote an atmosphere of education, one that continues past any 'graduation'. We need to re-introduce the idea that, as long as we all live and breathe, we can learn more. It NEVER stops. If we can accomplish that, then a LOT of the backlash -- based on defensiveness, a feeling of being insulted when another adult tells us something we may not know ("Who are YOU to tell ME anything?") -- should evaporate.

Driver's licenses are TOO too easy to get, and too too TOO hard to lose. The ongoing statistics (leaving cycling deaths aside for the moment) of over 35,000 traffic deaths EVERY YEAR -- that's a 9/11 attack every month! -- are ample demonstration that it's become just "the cost of doing business", an outright CONDONING of mass slaughter! THIS must change, and if it does, even in a small way, it would be a tribute fitting to your loss.

Once again, blessings, comfort, and peace. Thank you for sharing this story.
