I guess this is proof positive that I am a little off my rocker--I actually
like using the trainer. I got mine right before Christmas, and in the two months I have been using it, I have seen an exceptional increase in my cycling fitness.
Of course, I was a distance runner in high school, so I must have a high threshold for tedium and aerobic-exercise induced pain.
Here are some of the things I like about using the trainer:
- It provides a really concentrated workout
- The workouts are repeatable
- Using my bike's computer, I get really precise feedback about my effort and level of fitness
- I am riding more often because I don't have to worry about the weather
