There is alternative, modern high tech chrome paint has come so far it fools the untrained eye of anyone looking like real chrome. See: http://www.alsacorp.com/products/kil...llerchrome.htm You do need to buy a can of clear coat to put over the chrome paint.

Of course real chrome is better then paint, but I'm just offering a suggestion. I know a guy who's been using the paint for quite sometime on some of his projects and after 5 years of use including washing and weather they still look like chrome. But the cheap chrome paint you find at retail stores is junk, it won't look right nor last.
