Just the other day, the town secretary in the small(500 inhabitants) town I live in referred to me as a 'wild man'. Because I adamantly 'take the lane', and don't budge. But in addition to dealing with motorists' for my own safety, I also think about cyclists' like your (late) husband. While I am not a fan of the band, or their music, I think about the Beastie Boys song from the 1980's or 90's titled 'Fight For The Right To Party'. I feel that, as I am still able to ride my bike, I will always be 'partying' in their honor, by fighting for cyclists' rights.
