So how many folks are re-waxing after stripping with regular detergents or ammonia-based cleaners?

There are many fine automotive cleaning products that don't strip off the protective wax.

Re-waxing anything but a full-stripped frame is a PITA in my opinion and stripping the wax unless it is necessary for a deep cleaning and follow-up re-wax is a mistake IMHO.
