Yeah. It looks weird, even to me. 26" LHT's look freaky without all the fred stuff on them.
I'm sticking to 2.0 tires on my commuter, because of the bad pavement along my commute and I like the extra grip and braking power in traffic. That's why I figured a long time ago that I should have a separate bike for commuting and another for weekend rides and touring. They have different requirements. I think my ideal frame for my weekend ride is about to arrive: the Disc Trucker! They say it's shipping in March. I started riding with a club again, and I plan to ride a lot more this year, and an aluminum MTB frame isn't working out for long rides.
