I've had most of my near misses at the 2-4th stop of the ride. The first one and maybe the second I'm thinking about what I'm doing, but the 2nd to 4th stops I've moved on to thinking about where I'm going to go on the ride or planning out my day without my body having quite gotten into the rhythm yet. Of course, this could also be explained by the fact that most of the stop signs/lights are in the first and last few miles of the ride as I get to where I'm going for the main portion of the ride where there are fewer stops.
