You would need either to have a hollow tube to go the width of the trailer or you could have 2 hollow tubes, 1 on each side. As long as the 2 would be lined up with each other and perpendicular to the side of the trailer. If you want me to I could take some pictures of my Burley trailer to show you what I mean.
