If you were going to go to 105/Ultegra (which can be had for very reasonable prices), then absolutely.
That's a nice looking CAAD. If you were going to keep it for a long time, it might be worth it to get
yourself a 105 group with you can find for $400. as "take-offs" from new bikes. But as is, that bike is fine.
I went from Sora/Tiagra to Dura-Ace. Is there a difference? Yes. But, I pieced together my group for $800.
Still, I wasn't unhappy with the Sora/Tiagra bits. There were fine for what I needed at the time.
Where can you find a full 105 groupset for $400? I've seen it for ~$850...which at that price-point it seems like a better idea to save up for a full 105 bike instead of spending almost the full cost of my current bike on a new groupset.
