That is pretty similar to what I did. worked well for me, and when I did get a nicer bike I had a much better idea of what I wanted in a bike.

And no worries mate. As carleton said "budget friendly". Just gave you some info to get started. I am going to start on the kilo , but I have been blessed with a good paying job and I can buy any bike I want. I am just going to get started on the Kilo and see what happens from there. I don't want to rush into a purchase--- want to check things out and figure out what I really need in order to be faster-- good luck and see you at the track!
