Blind leading the blind. There is nothing wrong with your bike...only the guys that have working on it. Either learn to work on your bikes yourself or take it to another shop. The FD shouldn't have to be shimmed. What is likely going on...without seeing it...it your BB30 crankset is improperly spaced...probably have spacers on the drive side of the BB. PDF service manuals are available on line for group sets and cranks and even your CAAD10. It first starts with a proper installation of the crank.
