Bikes: 1961 Ideor, 1966 Perfekt 3 Speed AB Hub, 1994 Bridgestone MB-6, 2006 Airnimal Joey, 2009 Thorn Sherpa, 2013 Thorn Nomad MkII, 2015 VO Pass Hunter, 2017 Lynskey Backroad, 2017 Raleigh Gran Prix, 1980s Bianchi Mixte on a trainer. Others are now gone.

With the tiny LED lights available now, you can hang them from a safety pin that is pinned into the ceiling fabric on double wall tents. (I would not recommend puncturing a single wall waterproof tent with a pin.) With a diffuser to broaden the beam, you can effectively have a tiny lantern hanging in your tent quite easily.

Several years ago I tried to standardize all of my battery powered devices to AA batteries. That did not work out very well. I now use a mix of AA, AAA, dedicated batteries for my camera, dedicated batteries for my phone, N size battery for my travel alarm, if I bring my netbook a dedicated battery for that, etc.
