I should clear up: I don't have the replacement/upgrade fork and won't for another 3-4 weeks.

Right now, there's no housing or cables installed on the bike, but I've got a fresh set of Yokozumas to put on. My dilemma is, cut the housing with the existing fork and trust it will work with the new fork when it arrives, or just leave the bike unused for 3-4 weeks. I've got other bikes to ride, but I wouldn't mind having this in the mix right now.
