echoing the "don't use framesaver if there's already rust" sentiment -- just like 165 said, it'll just seal existing rust unless you can remove it.
DEFINITELY frame save your thylacine in case W hasn't already done it for you. The s&S couplings are one more place for water to get in. also, make sure you grease the threads on those couplings -- that will serve to keep out some of the water, and make it easier to take apart. But you probably already knew that. Enjoy ragbrai -- I'll be there next year.
