Wow, steel fans are a friendly group, hah!
Honestly, the Coda Sport as close as I could get to a newer, more road-oriented version of my mountain bike:

Spoke tension seems a bit low. Being my first new bike since the 80s, forgot that the first owner usually deals with checking the bike over after the first few rides.
I'm really curious how much faster I'll be getting home from work (who wants to get to work faster?) now that I have the tires and gearing better matched to road riding.
Anybody have good recommendations for a new seat stem/saddle? All three of my bikes I currently have are so old, they have 1" stems. Looks like everybody switched to at least 1 1/8" sometime between now and 16 years ago.
Being a 2010 model, I have the suspension seat post which I know isn't going to last.
