I registered within a day or so of when it sold out. Sure seems like it sold out a lot faster this year. I think a lot of it has to do with Cascade's refund policy... 75% refund up to 30 days before the event, if I recall. So I imagine there will be lots of spots opening up then, but probably not enough for everybody who wants one. I've done the one-day ride the past two years. I was on the fence about whether or not to sign up this year but when I saw it selling out that prompted me to grab a spot while I still could. I'll be excited for it when the time comes!
