Italian friends of mine have stated that the bargain basement price was tied to the fact that Pelizzoli had a reasonable good supply of inexpensive old SL tubesets. My wife and I have owned Columbus SL framed bicycles throughout the years.
Not a bad ride, when all elements are brought together by the right hands.
We thought it would be fun to have one built up to her (wife's) spec, but never got around to it.
She decided to continue along with her current bicycle.
