Your cheapest option is to look for just about any vintage road bike on CL with decent allow wheels complete with older long centerpulls. Make model size type shouldn't matter much or condition if most of the parts are good you can likely find one for a $100 or less then you have pretty much all the parts you need to reconvert your bike back into a geared road bike.
