high-end mixtes are out there, but so few that you'll need to wait a while, I think. I have seen a few in person ( Mercian, Holdsworth, Claud Butler) and a few really superb specimens in picture (Alex Singer!) but I also wonder how much ride quality even some 531 tubing provides using this frame design. Appearance is another issue. I don't see any production Japanese mixtes made from high-end Tange or Ishiwata, likewise most of the FR (aside from the Singer) or Dutch frames seem to be all low-to-mid grade. That Faggin is one of the very few high-end Columbus frames I've seen in mixte/step-thru style...mainly heavy "City " bikes if at all. I'd keep actively asking and looking, especially on the EU eBays sites as well as country-specific sites like markaatplatz, kijiji, Craigslist in all the big EU cities, etc.
