I did my first tri a couple weeks ago and am doing another soon. I'm looking for a good road bike that will be semi competitive in the race while still being affordable. My two options are an older lemond bike or a schwinn circuit 2007 which comes with some other tri stuff.

Are either of these 2 a deal I should take? Both bikes seem to fit very well. My only worry was that the lemond seemed to be a tad bit shaky at lower gears and has a little rust where the handle bars connect to the frame.

I really don't know anything about bikes, so even the most basic advice is appreciated!
