Had cataract surgery in one eye several years ago with excellent results as Wolf man has said. I was able to read fairly well without glasses. Now the other eye is getting very poor vision and the same procedure with the same MD is scheduled for April. This is one operation that is dialed in with a very high success rate.
The loss of good vision in one eye has meant I can't see much detail when skiing in overcast conditions. I took a fall a few days ago skiing into a big divot on a groomed ski trail. It's like trying to see white on white. I also can't see any detail in a helmet mounted mirror which makes taking the lane for a left turn tricky.
