In your case, Reynolds 531 ST explains the weight, but my bike supposedly wasn't made from ST tubing, rather it was made from the "standard" 531 (I never remember the wall thickness specs and whether or how they varied from year to year). My Mercian weighs in at about 25 lbs as shown above, but my very similarly accessorized Trek 560 weighs in closer to 23-24lb with Tru-Temper DB frameset and middle of the road Shimano 105 group.
