Yep. It was perplexing to me too; I just sat there trying to make it work for like 30 minutes before I resigned to the fact that it just doesn't.

This is a photo of the 3/32" chainring that comes with the S300's; as you can see there is very little clearance, and installing the VS ring just put it right up on it to where I can't turn the cranks without forcing it.


I'm open to ideas if someone has any, I'd love to use this chainring.
