It's a long story, but I actually have DA Di2 on one bike and Ultegra Di2 on the other. Functionally they're identical except the Ultegra Di2 front derailleur makes a louder noise from the motor when it shifts. I don't spend much time looking at the actual parts other than the shift levers when I ride, so i can't speak to cheesy. I'd take half off the price for a little cheese.

Jim you are a smart man with a informed opinion. I am waiting for the second generation of Di2 before I move to electric. Question can you compare the R5 and R3SDL not sure that they are the different and not sure why you have both? I have a R3SDL that I like and was looking at the S5.
