I don't have a pair. I don't wear bibs. (I'm not Andre the Giant.) But I can maybe answer a couple of your questions.

My merino stuff is fine in the summer, even during a heat wave. The thinner the better in the summer. But it isn't that it's wool, so it's inherently hot and good for arctic excursions. I find the stuff helps me regulate my body temperature pretty well, and the way it wicks sweat and feels dry even when it's not, is very comfortable in the summer.

My Ibex stuff does as well in the wash as any other merino. All my wool loves Eucalan. It's expensive for a laundry detergent, but I think it extends the life of my wool, which is far more expensive.
