You have a point there, now that I think of it.........I don't think of it too much when I move those friction levers. it's mostly all just a little bit of tactile, muscle and aural memory. The difference between doing a friction and indexed shift to the same gear might maybe counted to just a couple of dozen additional brain cells getting involved at most.......
