Major wins by Greg and Lance listed below. They look more similar than different. Both only have victories in one of the Grand Tours, both have victories in the Dauphiné, Dupont and World Championship. RX specifically singled out the Grand Tours, which after winning the TdF neither Lance nor Greg manged a top ten in either the Vuelta or the Giro. So yes, their records show both were similarily focused on the TdF.
