I picked up the same bike very cheaply a few years ago for the parts (the frame was loaded with rust.) The stock components were pretty nice and are still working on another bike I own. The thumb shifters aren't the "push-push" type that mine came with, and they're much more reliable.

Mine was an 89, and I believe the one in the ad is the same year. I wouldn't say it's too good to be true, but the price is ok a nice lugged True Temper frame with good components. I'd try to offer less also, I don't think it's going to move quick at the asking price.
