Kiwigem, I already do have fair/middling step through bikes. I do not want to invest in more because then what? I have a hard time giving up bikes, even if their resurrection is futile. I have done a good job of cleaning up my sad pile o' bikes, but still have the mixte out back. There are of course many pretty peugeot mixtes which I could bring home, but I already have a few lady bikes of that ilk. If it appeared on my driveway, was given to me, or very cheap, I would or course get it and rebuild for some purpose. But, I am searching for something special.
Regardless of whether or not high grade steel matters, it is what I am looking for, have researched and want to experience. I specifically asked for higher end steel. I'd like to know what it is people rave about, and for those who have nice bikes, you know what it is. I've just ridden whatever all these years. Low end mixtes, bmx's, mountain bikes, icky aluminium things, modern steel bikes, vintage raleighs...
I have already expressed little interest in the betty foy, somas, handsome cycles. I asked in the beginning for certain frames.
