Depends on the cold, I spent 200+ on Under Armor cold gear and am very impressed, leggings/sweats, long sleeve fitted Under Armor top, mesh short sleeve/Under Armor zip up hoodie, carry lighter tipless gloves and heavier wind breaker gloves, ski hat, neck warmer, full on warm gear and i'm good down to about 28f wind chilled. I just add/change gear on my ride as i need.
