Anyway, I am so new that I have my first training ride this Saturday with my local bike club, and its only 5 miles. And, I'm not sure how that will go! But I have already signed up for the Diabetes Association Tour de Force that is in June, so I had better learn quick! I signed up for the 25 miler, and have already put up flyers at work to ask for donations....to force me to keep at it!

But, I do appreciate all of the good advice. When I get to the store tomorrow, it will be a toss up between getting cold weather gear (whatever they are called ), and clipless pedals and shoes. Everything is on sale, so it will work out some how!

Thanks again!

Dave
you'll do fine. just do your best and forget what everyone else does.

we still dont know where you live, but everyone probably needs at least one or two long sleeve jerseys and one good pair a bib-knickers or longs............ if they're on sale grab a set, unless you live in Miami, but then why would they be selling long sleeves..
