I had a similar thing with my back. Much scapula pain on the crashed side. The therapist found that I had scar tissue on my clavicle that was pulling hard on my rib cage. Working that loose (painful as hell) relieved the tension between my scapula and spine by allowing my shoulder to move back just a touch.
