Clif bars, (I find Wally-World is a good place to get them for under $1 each, and I'll stock up if I find a good sale.) Trail mix bars from Aldi, diluted Powerade in the water bottle. I tried some of the Clif shot bloks the other day. Pretty tasty and compact.
