That's the same logic I use!
I think about how lucky they've got it to have roads clear of traffic and police ******* through the middle of town. Slackers!!
Then I remember crazed fans in the middle of the street waving thunder sticks and throwing water at them, team cars passing within inches of their pedals, traffic purposely riding right next to you, and don't forget naked people running with flags.
On my rides, I feel safer when cars are in front of me rather than behind. Also, I don't like accidents or naked people running with flags.
