I'm looking into the best soldering rod for light aluminum (non-structural), hopefully something available at local automotive or big box home stores. I've found several products online but you have to buy a pound or two of it and it tends to be pricey with fairly high shipping. If I could find somewhere where I could buy it by the stick, or at least avoid the shipping on a half or full pound, I'd be grateful for the tip.
