One thing the guy mentioned while fixing it was possible causes of broken spokes.. Impact, over tightening and to my surprise, cross-chaining. He said that when you cross chain it puts stress on the wheel because the chain isnt straight creating tension- I did not know that. I think in my case it was one of San Diego's notorious potholes.
