Early Shimano Crane derailleurs used both notches to hold the spring tension. That is probably what came on the bike but it may have been labeled a LeTour. It didn't come with a Huret. Roger
Ah! I did not know that. Thanks, I knew someone here would have the answer.
I plan on using a modern derailleur. I'm going to drill a small hole at the correct position and braze a small steel pin in place to use as a stop.
