Anyone else still improvise their rides?
Yeah, but to be fair--I live in Oklahoma. In case you've never been there, here's how it's set up:
-All roads run either exactly North/South or exactly East/West
-Every road is either parallel or perpendicular to every other road
-Roads do not have curves or turns in them, and are perfectly straight
-Every road is exactly 1 mile away from the next road in both directions, forming a grid
From the air, the state looks like a giant checkerboard.

It makes it easy to improvise routes, because it's pretty hard to get lost.
