No. Its more than just pressing on the area with thumbs/elbows.

It actually pushing a needle into the trigger point. It feels like he twists/wiggles the needle around until the muscle starts to spasm...its a strange feeling and often makes my hip/butt visibly tremble (like you see when your calf is cramping). But when he hits the right point its instant relief (after instant pain!)...I walk out of there feeling all loosey goosey.

BUT, the pain always returns due to instability in the core. That's what we're working on...the trigger point is apparently just the symptom.
