Bicyclists (while riding in the roadway) have the same right as drivers of vehicles. Many states have the same set up in their traffic laws.
A bicycle, as an object, has no legal status.
Ok, I'm also gathering that if a cyclist crashes in the NJ "roadway" from a "road defect", cyclist has no legal recourse, but say a motorcyclist crashes from the same "road defect", they can take legal recourse?
