familiar story... building up a LHT for touring. my question is about drivetrain compatibility. i assembled what i could and dropped the bike off at the LBS for drivetrain installation. the mechanic told me the following parts were not totally compatible and that index shifting would not be possible. ill be the first to admit im no expert, but i went to lengths researching parts and im a bit confused.

im using: dura ace 9 speed barcons, a 9 speed xt m771 RD (http://bit.ly/wguadW), a xt 771 FD, and this modified 9 speed shimano cassette- http://bit.ly/A9D5q2

any idea why there'd be trouble with index shifting? TIA
