Hey chief, got diagnosed w/ type II a year ago last week, 10.9 h1bAC. Last week in my yearly check-up, 5.4! Was made up with that - no meds for me, and back to six monthly check-ups.
Exercise and diet is the way out, but I only did it since early December (had a tough year last year and so made up loads of excuses). Lost around 10% of body weight and did gym four times a week since. Really is beatable (or at least, kept in control)!
