Hi, I typicall use panniers to commute and for general rides, but I've run into a few situations where I needed the extra capacity for groceries, bulky items going to UPS, etc. I do have a timbuk2 XL (huge damn bag) and I so rarely use it that I'm not entire sure the best way to do it.

Do you try to carry this sucker high on the back, or lower near your butt to keep it off your back more?

Any tips for loading items? I figure the knowledge from people who carry these all the time will save me some hassle in the long run .
