Er, don't they ship built with the 9v drivetrain?

FWIW the 9 speed bar end shifter is called Dura Ace, the 8 speed set called Ultegra,
but really they in spite of the names of different groups, are similar quality
other than the mechanical functions, detent count
and spacing to match the cassette on the back hub.
