Not everyone likes dropbars.
Wearing winter gloves makes operating the brake levers (brifters) on dropbars difficult. In case of spill, brake levers (brifters) are more prone to damage on dropbars.

I recommend the Scott Sub series or Specialized Sirrus.
And, oh, get one with disc brakes.
