Without having ridden that stretch on bicycle, I'd be tempted to abandon the path in Bolivar and take the road that runs more-or-less straight from Zoar to Bowerston. My memory tells me that it's 212, but Google is not backing me up on this, and my memory has been known to take unexpected detours from reality.
