I think they are wheelsmith spokes after googling what their spokehead looks like. Yes, the butting is plainly obvious to the eyes. The threaded butted end is about 35mm in length and the other end of the spoke has 30mm of butting.

I just remeasured the spoke head end. I measured the diameter of the spoke just before it bends to the long end, the part that will be in the hub: it is about 1.97-2.01 or so. So my spokes are 2.0-1.6-2.0 spokes I take it? When I got the 1.8mm I listed above, I was measuring the butted area on the non-threaded side but not on the actual bend where the spoke head is.
