Lester, what kinds of things do you observed on a Walgoose that will make you want to scrap the entire bicycle?
So, what was so exciting about working on the Univega that wasn't on a Walgoose?...I mean what negative features are there about repairing a Walgoose as compared to some other well-known, but really screwed up bicycle?... Practically all components can be upgraded...
Now why can't you just upgrade the non-Tourney stuff and have the same attitude that you would have with the Walgoose possessing Tourney components?

Haven't you read the posts where people have stated how the brakes on these bikes have failed under reasonable force?
And as has been asked by others, would it make sense to buy a car from Ford and then have to tow it to one's local garage to have it made roadsafe?
Do you really think that it makes any kind of sense for a person to buy a bike from WalMart and then have to take it to their neighborhood LBS to have it made roadworthy, and to upgrade it to get it to be roadworthy?
